Laboratories

Some pages of the site are under construction.

The research activities of the group concern the following four macro-sectors:

Soil fertility    Sensors and Imaging    Organic matter     Contamination

Soil fertility is mainly studied by monitoring the carbon cycle and soil microbial activity, which is also an index of fertility. Our laboratory is one of the few in the world certified for the preparation of standards of humic substances. Moreover, elemental analysis relies on high-resolution instruments (ICP-MS) capable of determining the presence of an element down to concentrations of a few ppb. Finally, we are setting up a laboratory dedicated to the use of microsensors nad planar sensors for the study of the rhizosphere.

In addition to these advanced laboratories, there are many common analytical techniques, conducted regularly at our Institute. An image gallery is shown below as an example.
